Lippan kaam — the mud-and-mirror walls of a bhunga.
Inside a Kutchi bhunga, the walls are built up by hand in clay relief and set with hundreds of tiny mirrors, so that one oil lamp lights the whole room. The pattern is always radiating outward from a centre.
We drew this in Bhuj, in the idiom of the craft. It is our drawing — not a reproduction of any artisan's work, and not handmade Lippan.
